Mabylon presents novel allergen-neutralization approach at the Food Allergy Science Initiative (FASI 10) at the Broad Institute

Mabylon AG was invited to present its novel allergen-neutralization approach at FASI’s 10-Year Anniversary Research Summit at the Broad Institute.

CSO Niccolo Pengo presented Mabylon’s work on long-acting, multispecific, human-derived antibodies designed to neutralize allergens before they can trigger the allergic cascade.

The approach differs from traditional desensitization strategies in that it targets the allergens themselves rather than endogenous immune pathways or repeatedly exposing patients to the allergen. Mabylon’s antibodies are designed to provide prophylactic protection and sustained efficacy with only a few subcutaneous injections.

Key features of Mabylon’s approach include:

  • Prophylactic – designed to act before the allergic cascade is triggered
  • Allergen-directed – targets the allergen itself rather than endogenous immune pathways
  • Multispecific – combines several allergen-binding specificities in a single engineered antibody
  • Human-derived – built from human antibody responses and disease-relevant epitopes
  • Long-acting – designed for sustained protection with only a few subcutaneous injections

Mabylon is developing the approach across major allergy indications. Its clinical-stage peanut allergy program MY006 is currently in Phase 1 and uses a tetraspecific antibody targeting immunodominant epitopes of major peanut allergens.

The company is also developing MY010, a trispecific antibody designed to neutralize major PR-10 allergens across birch, oak and related spring tree pollens. The program is being developed with the goal of providing broad seasonal protection with a single pre-seasonal injection, with clinical development planned to start in summer 2027.

At FASI 10, Niccolò Pengo also presented preliminary blinded observations from the ongoing MY006 Phase 1 study as well as preclinical findings suggesting that allergen-neutralizing antibodies may have effects beyond immediate allergen blocking.
